Cabrillo Playhouse Announces 2026 Season for Newly Renovated Stage

The Cabrillo Playhouse announced its 2026 season today, marking the first full lineup of productions to take the stage following the most significant renovation in the theater’s 70-year history. Reopening in January, the upgraded venue introduces a new stage that expands creative possibilities for performers, designers, musicians, and audiences alike.

“This renovation allows us to dream bigger,” said Michael Lopez, Producing Artistic Director of the Cabrillo Playhouse. “With the new stage and enhanced capabilities, we can fully realize productions that demand more technical precision, richer musical support, and more dynamic staging. The 2026 season reflects that ambition.”

The season features a mix of acclaimed musicals, sharp comedies, and inventive adaptations, continuing the Cabrillo’s tradition of presenting bold, engaging live theatre for the San Clemente community.
