Lowe’s Volunteers Give Cabrillo Playhouse a Helping Hand

Cabrillo Playhouse got a welcome makeover on November 3, thanks to a team of Lowe’s employees who volunteered their time and talents to improve the historic San Clemente theater.

The volunteers tackled several projects around the property, replacing upper shelving in the backstage storage room, repairing and painting the fence at the northwest corner of the property, and adding new plants along the Playhouse walkway.

Lowe’s generously donated all the materials for the improvements and even left behind the tools used for the projects, giving Cabrillo valuable resources for future maintenance.

“We’re incredibly grateful to Lowe’s and these wonderful volunteers for investing their time and resources in our Playhouse,” said Cabrillo Playhouse Board President Asta Gersovitz. “As a small nonprofit theater, we depend on community partnerships like this to help us maintain our facilities and create a welcoming experience for our audiences and performers.”

Cabrillo actor and volunteer landscaper Dan Dittmar also joined the Lowe’s team in the day’s efforts.

A special thank-you to Lowe’s for demonstrating what community partnership is all about and helping keep Cabrillo Playhouse looking its best!
