Cabrillo Playhouse Launches New Season While Inviting Community Support

Following a successful reopening season that marked the return of year-round productions, Cabrillo Playhouse is preparing to launch its 2026-2027 season on October 2 with The Addams Family, the first of six productions that will bring musicals, comedies, mystery, and classic theater to San Clemente audiences.

The season continues with The Salonniers, The Savannah Sipping Society, The Legend of Georgia McBride, The SpongeBob Musical, and Clue. As of September 1, audiences can purchase tickets to individual performances throughout the season, while season ticket packages also remain available.

As the nonprofit theater looks ahead to another year of live entertainment, it is also inviting the community to participate in its “Be a Wavemaker” fundraising campaign. The campaign seeks to raise $35,000 before the new season begins because ticket sales alone do not cover the full cost of producing each season, maintaining the historic theater, and continuing Cabrillo Playhouse’s mission of bringing quality live theater to the community.

For more than 70 years, Cabrillo Playhouse has been a cultural cornerstone in San Clemente, made possible by the dedication of volunteers, patrons, donors, and sponsors who have helped keep live theater thriving in South Orange County.

Community members can support Cabrillo Playhouse by attending a performance, becoming a season subscriber, or contributing to the Be a Wavemaker campaign, helping ensure live theater continues to thrive in San Clemente for generations to come.
