Cabrillo Playhouse has finalized its Board of Directors for the 2026–2027 season, welcoming three new members: Jesse Brophy, Ella Wyatt and Brian Vidales. The Board brings together experienced leaders dedicated to supporting San Clemente’s historic community theater.
Asta Gersovitz serves as President, succeeding Hillary Pearson, who stepped down after nearly five years of Board service. Previously Secretary, Gersovitz brings extensive professional and nonprofit board experience.
Carissa Mace serves as Vice President while continuing as Volunteer Coordinator. A San Clemente resident and graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, she has extensive Orange County theater experience and is Executive Director of the San Diego Chapter of the Community Associations Institute.
Kathi Koehler returns as Treasurer, bringing financial expertise and years of service on Southern California theater boards.
Jesse Brophy joins as Secretary. A San Clemente resident and Cabrillo volunteer since 2024, he brings more than 20 years of creative leadership experience in the video game industry.
Returning members Will Minton, Advancement, and Aaron Carlow, Technology, continue their work supporting the Playhouse. Minton brings three decades of marketing experience to Cabrillo’s communications, fundraising and community outreach. Carlow, an IT professional and military veteran, oversees technology initiatives.
Ella Wyatt joins as Community Relations Director. A director, actor and theater educator for more than 20 years, she teaches drama at San Clemente High School and hosts KXFM’s weekly theater program, “All the World’s a Stage.”
Brian Vidales joins as Technical Theatre Advisor. A Cabrillo scenic carpenter for the past two years, he brings more than two decades of theatrical experience, including work at Chapman University, Paramount Theatre, Drury Lane Theatre and Laguna Beach’s Pageant of the Masters.
Cabrillo also thanks Holly Jones for her dedicated Board service, including her leadership as Vice President. A longtime performer, director and vocal instructor, Jones will continue serving the Playhouse as Office Manager.
Together, the Board will guide Cabrillo’s continued growth and advance its mission to enrich, educate and entertain audiences through the performing arts.
