Cabrillo Playhouse continues its reopening season with Home, I’m Darling, Laura Wade’s stylish comedy about marriage, nostalgia, and the complications of trying to recreate an idealized past. Set inside a carefully curated 1950s lifestyle, the play mixes sharp humor with emotional honesty as its characters balance fantasy and reality.
Featuring an entirely new group of performers making their Cabrillo Playhouse debuts, the production brings together actors with experience from theaters across Southern California and beyond.

Leading the production as Judy is Taylor LaBarbera. A lifelong admirer of 1950s culture and style, Taylor says the role feels especially close to home. Recent credits include Monica in I Love My Wife at No Square Theatre and appearing alongside Melanie Griffith in The Graduate. She has also originated leading roles in the original musicals American Star and Losing Moscow, making Home, I’m Darling a particularly fitting introduction to Cabrillo audiences.
Playing Judy’s husband Johnny is Jeremy Krasovic. Jeremy has acted in more than 70 productions since 2010 and is well known to Orange County audiences through his work at The Maverick Theater in Fullerton. He has dedicated this production to his grandparents and their own navigation of marriage in the 1950s.

Mary Price Moore appears as Sylvia, Judy’s outspoken mother. Most recently seen in Greetings at Newport Theatre Arts Center, Mary has performed extensively across Northern and Southern California in productions including Steel Magnolias, Rumors, Our Town, Young Frankenstein, and Harvey.
Sarah-Jane Finch plays Fran. Recent acting credits include Jekyll and Hyde, Relatively Speaking, Shakespeare in Love, and The 39 Steps. She is also an accomplished director, with recent directing credits including Twelfth Night, Steel Magnolias, and The Mousetrap. Cabrillo audiences may recognize the Finch family name, as her daughter Annabelle appeared as Helen Keller in The Miracle Worker last summer.

Playing Fran’s husband Marcus is Charlie Massey, a familiar face throughout Orange County theater. His favorite past roles include Charlie Brown in You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Nostradamus in Something Rotten, Brian in Avenue Q, Igor in Young Frankenstein, and Polonius in Hamlet.
Rounding out the cast as Alex is Shane Murphy. Recent credits include The Importance of Being Earnest, Steel Magnolias, and A Streetcar Named Desire. A graduate of the University of San Diego, Shane also trained at London’s Royal Academy of Dramatic Art with a focus on classical performance.
Home, I’m Darling opens May 22 at Cabrillo Playhouse in San Clemente.
